Operation Girl Empowerment
We are passionate about empowering young girls. We want to give girls ICT skills and encourage them to study mathematics and science as these open many doors.
There is a need of funds to set up an ICT hub because we want to introduce the girls to what ICT is, offer mathematics and science support where necessary and also teach them basic English language skills. We also need translation tool to facilitate learning and reduce learning times.
Social Action
We aim to strengthen family bonds as a way to prevent risky situations and promote integration between the community and the environment.
This can be achieved by reducing waste discarded in nature and raising awareness about the importance of environmental preservation, sustainability and quality of life through a set of educational, cultural and sports activities. This requires preventive and effective action for a better coexistence between man and nature.
Recycling
The idea of Recycling consists of reusing what would be discarded in the Environment and discarded with garbage, but which, through an adequate process, can become useful again. The number of items that can be recycled is enormous, but it is necessary to bear in mind that only what is actually going to receive proper treatment can be recycled. The importance of the participation of needy families in this project is of fundamental importance for Sustainability, Health, Social Inclusion and Environmental Preservation, opening borders for quality of life.
Environmental preservation and sustainability is a systematic ideal that is made up mainly by action, and by the constant search for economic development and at the same time preservation of the ecosystem, some measures are at the heart of the issue of Environmental Preservation, the production of handicrafts, changing habits and practicing sports is an opportunity that often marks the culture and history of a people, encompassing a series of products that can be made at home using numerous raw materials such as milk cartons, MDF, PET bottles, fabric, plastic bags, tin cans and others, providing monthly income for families.
Compost
Composting is the set of techniques applied to stimulate the decomposition of organic materials by aerobic heterotrophic organisms, in order to obtain, in the shortest possible time, a stable material, rich in humic substances and mineral nutrients, thus forming a humiferous soil. CHARIS is developing the composting project with the objective of reducing the organic waste generated by the families and the Company.
Composting is a great alternative for establishments that generate a considerable volume of organic waste and need an alternative for disposal. To ensure these improvements, Charis can help not only in evaluating the best composite maker for the location available, and its facilities, but also offering the optimization of those already installed.
